WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

You will need to allow a minimum of 1½ hours for your appointment depending on what tests are requested by the doctor.  Firstly, you will be seen by an Orthoptist who will record history, check vision and administer drops to dilate the pupils.  These drops can take up to 30 minutes to work and will affect the vision for approximately four to five hours, therefore we advise patients not to drive directly following their appointment.

We endeavour to see patients as close to the appointment time as possible, but due to urgent or complicated cases there may be some delay on occasions. If you arrive late to your appointment you may be required to reschedule.

PAYMENT

We are not a bulk-billing clinic and payment is required on the day of consultation.  Cash, Eftpos and credit cards are accepted. Personal cheques and American Express are not accepted. A Medicare rebate will apply in most cases which will automatically be transmitted to Medicare within 48 hours providing you have registered your nominated  bank details  direct with them.  Medicare does not send cheques.  If you are unsure you should contact Medicare before your appointment.

REPORTS AND THIRD PARTY CLAIMS

If you require a VicRoads Eye Report or any other report, you must advise the clinic prior to your appointment.  The report must be presented on arrival to the front reception area. An additional fee may be payable. If your visit is related to Workcover, TAC or other third party claims please verify authorization by our clinic prior to your appointment or it will be invoiced privately with payment required on the day of consultation.
